Central West Horse Driving Society

Last Updated September 2008
Some Central West Club members have recently gone Far West. Barry and Norma Garment have just returned from a seven week round trip to Darwin with their caravan. They went via Coober Pedy in South Australia, then to Uluru, Kings Canyon and Alice Springs and on to Darwin. The return trip was through Mt Isa and Blackall in Queensland, then Bourke and home to Parkes.

The Parkes Show has gone off this year without a hitch, unlike last year’s show which gained unwanted fame as a locked down showground for 50 days following the EI outbreak. All those who were quarantined last year returned to compete at this year’s show, and together made a $1100 donation to the Show Society in gratitude for the way they were treated last year.
