Robert Allport: Robert and Damon Allport, Robbie Baxter, Judy Emerton, Allan Robertson and Allen Collins attended the Royal Far West Charity Drive organized by the Liverpool Range Club at Quirindi in September. The drive was very enjoyable, going through some of the best country to be seen in NSW. There were great overnight camp spots, with catered dinners and entertainment. A big thank you to the organizers from Goulburn club members. Our members are looking forward to next year’s drive.
Our first club pleasure drive for the season was held at Binda on November 19/20. Forty eight kms were travelled on the Saturday along quiet country roads and through private property, with a minimal amount of traffic to worry about. On Sunday morning with the weather threatening rain, we travelled out and back along Woodville Rd for 25kms. Robert and Damon Allport accompanied by our new junior member Kimberley Allport, Allen Smith and grandson Jade Coggan, Michael and Patrick Finn with Thomas and Fergus enjoyed the weekend. Reedy Creek members John Moyes, Kath Cole, Marty and Kylie Boyce and Jess Parramore drove up from Laggan on Sunday morning for lunch and return.
Our Christmas BBQ get together in December will be hosted by Trevor and Shirley Mills, and the first pleasure drive of the New Year will be in mid January at Windellama at the property of Bill and Chris Gardiner.
