Riverina Carriage Driving Society
Last updated September 2008
The Interclub social competition between Riverina and Murrumbidgee Clubs was to be held on July 19 at Murrami (home ground of Murrumbidgee) but unfortunately had to be cancelled. Riverina Club held its AGM on August 8 and the Executive is President Alan Bowyer, Secretary Helen Garland and Treasurer Kerrie Rosetta, with other members filling various positions so that the club can function.
The Club is organizing some pleasure drives in the near future. The first is to be held on October 26 at Marrar. The second is on the weekend of November 29/30 at Batlow. It is being organized as a campover by a new member (Kath). The drive will be held through a forest area surrounding Batlow.
Riverina Club has also had a day at the local produce store (South West Stockfeeds) at their open day for their new big store. Several members brought horses and carriages to do a display on CDE, plus give rides to the children. Michael Jones had his big Clydesdale Sam and a wagon there. There could be a new member joining as a result of the day. South West Stockfeeds are very supportive of the Riverina Carriage Driving Club who wish the company well in its new premises.
