Hunter Horse Driving Society

Last Updated September 2008
The Hunter Club has had two very successful instructional sessions in recent weeks firstly from Lorraine Moss and then from Sheryl and Trevor Leibowitz. Both schools were very helpful and much appreciated by the members who attended.

Margaret Randall writes:
On August 16 and 17 Sheryl and Trevor Leibowitz gave lessons to several Hunter Club members at Quorrobolong. Firstly they checked our harness, and explained the reasons for any changes and how these would improve the comfort of our horses. Each member had a one hour lesson. There was marked improvement in each horse. Sheryl taught to the ability of each driver and the stage of training of each horse and driver, considering the purpose it was being trained for.
Both Sheryl and Trevor willingly shared and imparted their immense amount of knowledge. It was a pleasure to see how much they enjoyed encouraging us all in the art of carriage driving, whether it be for pleasure, dressage, show driving, endurance or CDE. Sheryl teaches with lots of empathy and consideration to both horse and driver. Thank you Sheryl and Trevor.
The Club has a number of drives on the calendar over the next few months, with the highlight being the Concours d’Elegance in the Hunter Vineyards on Sunday October 26 at Pokolbin Estate.
